Contained Group
A major home project is more than a building job. It involves design, cost, contracts, regulations, multiple trades and systems that must work when the work is finished.
Contained Group brings larger-project control to your extension, refurbishment, remodelling, services replacement or energy-improvement work.

Most domestic projects begin with a quotation and a start date. But before work starts, somebody needs to establish what is included, what the finished home must achieve, what standards apply, how the work will be checked and what evidence is needed before payment is considered.
Contained Group acts as your remote client-side project manager, commercial adviser and MEP-focused technical consultant. We translate the professional processes used on larger projects into a clear residential route: requirements, tender analysis, contract terms, programme, payment milestones, quality evidence, technical records, inspections, testing, commissioning and handover.
Our MEP technical input starts before the tender, not after the builder is already on site. Heating, hot water, ventilation, electrical capacity, lighting, controls, renewables, drainage, and insulation interfaces can be identified within the scope, linked to the contract, and tracked through installation, testing, and handover.
This means the project is not managed only around visible progress. It is managed around the systems, records and evidence needed for the finished home to perform properly.
A payment platform can protect the funds. Contained Group helps protect the project before a payment dispute begins.

A well-run home project needs more than a price and a payment schedule. It
needs a clear commercial route connecting the scope, technical requirements,
contract, programme, quality evidence and payment milestones from the start.
Contained Group establishes this structure before work begins. We define what
each milestone represents, the work and evidence required, the relevant
inspection or test points, what information must be provided, and what remains
outstanding before payment is considered. This gives the homeowner a clearer
basis for decisions and gives the contractor a defined route to payment for
proven progress.
Homeowners may tender the project to their own chosen contractors, invite
contractors from the Contained Trade Partner Network where available, or use a
combination of both. Each contractor is issued the same Employer’s Requirements,
technical information and tender return requirements, allowing prices,
exclusions, assumptions and delivery proposals to be reviewed on a more
comparable basis.
Where suitable, Contained Group can coordinate an independent protected
milestone-payment arrangement. The homeowner secures the agreed funds before a
work stage begins. The independent provider, not Contained Group, administers the
funds and payment process under its own terms. This gives the contractor
confidence that agreed payment is available while giving the homeowner a
structured route to review progress, evidence, testing and outstanding actions
before authorising release.
Contained Group does not hold client money or determine civil disputes. We act
as the remote client-side project manager, commercial adviser and MEP technical
consultant, managing the scope, technical requirements, project records and
evidence route that help prevent avoidable disagreement.
Clear scope. Contractor choice. Funded milestones. Payment for proven
progress.
1. Professional project control
Contained Group defines the scope, technical requirements, contract, programme, milestones, evidence requirements and commissioning route.
2. Financial assurance
An independent protected-payment platform confirms that funds are available, holds the relevant milestone amount, and administers the release under its own terms.
3. Delivery assurance
Where appropriate, the homeowner can access a Contained Trade Partner Network contractor who is pre-qualified to work within the agreed scope, payment, evidence, technical, and handover processes.
Clear requirements. Funded milestones. Prompt payment for proven progress.

Turn your ideas, drawings and priorities into clear Employer’s Requirements, scope and specification, so everyone understands what is included before work is priced or started.

Bring MEP technical thinking in from the start: heating, hot water, ventilation,
electrical capacity, controls, renewables, drainage and the hidden systems that
must work after completion.

Review tenders beyond the headline price. Identify exclusions, assumptions, allowances, missing scope, technical gaps and commercial risks before contractor appointment..

Put responsibilities, programme, payment stages, retention, changes, quality
requirements and completion expectations into a clear contract route before
work begins.

Create a practical project programme agreed by the homeowner and contractor,
showing work stages, key decisions, evidence points, payment dates and planned
completion.

Link each payment stage to defined work, evidence and outstanding actions.
Where suitable, connect the contract and parties to an independent, protected
milestone-payment model.

Identify the proportionate duties, appointments, site information and safety
documents needed for a more organised domestic construction project.

Set inspection and test requirements around key work stages, especially where
services, structure, insulation, ventilation or other critical work will later
be concealed.

Submit videos, photographs, drawings, contractor information and product data
through a clear remote evidence route. Receive practical findings, actions and
technical questions for the project team.

Use structured remote meetings, decision records, action trackers and change
logs to keep the homeowner, contractor and advisers working from the same
information.

Where concerns arise, use the project record to clarify scope, evidence,
changes, payment position and outstanding work before disagreement becomes a
costly dispute.

Close the project with commissioning records, testing, certificates, operating
information, snagging, defect dates and clear final-payment or retention
requirements.
From early ideas to clear Employer’s Requirements, specifications, and tender
information. We identify the required information and technical inputs, then produce a contractor-ready pack to enable clearer, more comparable pricing.
Know what you are asking contractors to price.
Set the commercial rules before work begins: contract support, programme,
milestone payments, retention, change control and evidence requirements.
Where suitable, we coordinate an independent protected-payment route.
Clear work. Protected funds. Payment when the stage is proven.
Remote technical review for heating, hot water, ventilation, electrical, controls, renewables and building services work. Receive findings, actions, evidence requirements and a commissioning and handover pack.
Make sure the systems behind the finishes are ready to work.
You can appoint Contained Group for an individual review, document or issue.
For the greatest protection, the Contained Home Project Route connects every
stage: scope, tender, technical requirements, contract, programme, payment,
evidence, delivery management, commissioning and close-out.
This gives the homeowner one professional project record and gives reputable
contractors clearer information, funded milestones and a fairer route to
payment.
Contained Group provides remote client-side project management, commercial
control and MEP technical consultancy. We do not hold client money, certify
